A DISC Nucleoplasty (percutaneous disc decompression) for complex back and leg pain is presented in a 54 year old man with longstanding back and right leg pain that referred into the front of the thigh.

Following a lengthy work-up it was found that the patient did have tears in the disc which were evident on MRI scan. During a discogram, he had 10/10 concordant pain at the L3/4 disc while the discs above and below were completely pain free. This video includes a detailed explanation of the DISC Nucleoplasty procedure.
