About the Author: Lisa Westlake
Lisa is a physiotherapist, mother of two and highly regarded Australian fitness instructor and presenter. Her first book, Strong to the Core, has sold over 100,000 copies. Lisa was awarded Australian Fitness Professional of the Year in 2000 and Australian Presenter of the Year in 2003.
She left her full-time physiotherapy position in road trauma intensive care in 1995 to create her business ‘Physical Best’, which develops and provides quality exercise programs for people of all abilities and needs. Lisa is known as a pioneer of fitball training in Australia and in addition to Strong to the Core and the recently published Strong and Stable, she has produced six fitness DVDs.
She is a highly regarded national and international presenter, lectures in several universities, writes for fitness magazines, and has a popular health and fitness talkback segment on Melbourne’s ABC Saturday Morning Radio.
